New York, NY- April 10, 2013 —CAST (EURONEXT:CAS), the pioneer and global leader in software analysis and measurement, today announced that the Assistance Publique - Hôpitaux de Paris (AP-HP), a public hospital network in Paris, has chosen the CAST Application Intelligence Platform (AIP) as the standard system for automatically measuring the structural quality of its internal and outsourced IT development.
As part of an IT modernization plan to transform AP-HP systems, a General Policy Security framework was established to secure critical systems. The AP-HP IT system is of vital importance to the day-to-day operations of 37 hospitals, dealing with large volumes of medical, financial, and contractual data, as well as personal information relating to patients and staff.
“Right now, Europe is at the forefront of application development analytics and quality control,” said Remi Jacquet, VP Continental Europe at CAST. “High profile glitches and crashes have been all over the news the past year, and organizations have taken notice that they need to get a handle on their application performance and quality in their critical IT systems. Our platform is designed from the ground up to be automated, compliant with recent governmental quality standards, and able to deliver actionable metrics at a glance. It’s the natural choice.”
AIP is being installed on the enterprise management side of AP-HP, mainly composed of a Human Resources Information Management System and operations, investment, finance, and logistics systems. AIP will measure software resilience, performance, safety, and maintainability and will prevent the introduction of code defects in custom information systems.
The AP-HP will now also be equipped to use the automated function point module of CAST AIP* to measure the size of its applications and assess the productivity of ADM activities.
* CAST AIP is in full compliance with the OMG standard for the automated counting function points.
