VP, Partner Marketing - NY/US

CAST is the market leader in Software Intelligence. Its unique technology thoroughly examines the structure of complex software systems, with MRI-like precision. It delivers accurate, actionable, and automated views of software architecture, critical flaws, quality grades, sizing metrics, open source usage, and cloud readiness levels. Hundreds of companies rely on CAST for greater objectivity in crucial business decisions, faster application modernization for Cloud, raising the quality and security of their custom software. CAST operates globally with offices in North America, Europe, India, China.

Job Description:

A killer value prop for services firms that “get it”! We’ve got amazing clients and partners. All the biggest names in the systems integration market are CAST customers and partners. Our relationships with the GSIs are at the highest executive levels. The goal is to grow our business together with them in the field. We have a crack team of BD professionals on it, but with mammoth organizations of 100,000’s of people, our field team needs some air cover, marketing strategy and tactical support.

Oh, and did we mention that we’re creating a category? CAST is pioneering the space called Software Intelligence. A critical capability for anyone dealing with transformation, modern toolchains, cloud migration, tech acquisition, and running a software-intensive organization. Partner marketing is one of the keys to secure our position in the new category. Here’s the event we ran in Paris this year (note the partner participation):

The thing is, if we can leverage the tremendous partnerships we have, we will gain tremendous scale and will succeed in putting Software Intelligence on the map. This is a huge point of leverage for the company’s future. You will be *the* lynchpin of this effort to scale. Super important and visible role. Not for the meek or the faint of heart. Not to worry, though. You will have the support and partnership of a connected, aggressive BD team and a talented, committed marketing team.

Role Outline:

  • Partner enablement:
    • Help the CAST owners promote CAST and Software Intelligence into their organizations
    • Run training sessions, brownbags, internal events for the GSIs
    • Harvest and build case studies to showcase our partners’ successes
    • Help our BD team build a channel for services business based on our tech

  • Campaigns and co-marketing:
    • Push partners to co-develop content with us, and then help develop that content
    • Push our partners to include us in marketing efforts (events, content, social, analysts)
    • Build a content program that our smaller partners can leverage and co-promote
  • Category development:
    • Convince as many of our partners as possible to adopt and promote the new category


  • You have a product marketing background and understand the app dev world
  • You know something about partner marketing and channel enablement
  • You don’t wait for things to come to you – you make things happen
  • You can follow multiple threads that sometimes stall, and push them all to completion
  • You can write, you’ve blogged at least occasionally, and enjoy getting your views out there
  • You can think, you can do, and you don’t mind doing menial stuff once in a while
