Capgemini and CAST Partner to Offer a Joint Service of Application Portfolio Diagnosis in France

New York and Paris, November 21, 2012 – Capgemini, one of the world’s leading providers of consulting, technology and outsourcing services, today announced its partnership with CAST, the world leader in software analysis and measurement. This partnership is the obvious next step to Capgemini’s investments in CAST technology over the last five years, which made Capgemini the most significant CAST customer on the IT services market. The 100 customer projects jointly managed by the two companies in this period provide Capgemini the expertise to launch these new offerings.

The new services include:

  1. Rapid Portfolio Assessment – using CAST Highlight, Capgemini provides a comprehensive report on the state of structural health of the application portfolio, enabling identification of risks and vulnerabilities in a system, to estimate technical debt and to better target IT investments.
  2. Structural Quality Audit – a service which provides in-depth analysis of complex, mission critical applications in need of refinement.
  3. Structural Quality Gate – a quality assurance service controlling structural quality of each major release of mission critical systems to significantly reduce risks before deployment.

Dominique Raviart, analyst at NelsonHall, comments: “Capgemini goes well beyond simple technical analysis and is expanding its approach to code quality further than just the necessary technical analysis to an organizational and IT governance approach.”

“Capgemini has worked with code analyzers for some time, but decided on CAST because of its ability to perform architecture analysis with much more accurate results,” said Thierry Daumas, Head of Industrialization Services at Capgemini France. “CAST has been the backbone of Capgemini’s Application Intelligence Center since 2007 which has been extended internationally to ensure the highest standards of software quality in application development and maintenance is adhered to by our clients across the world.”

“Capgemini is one of our historical partners, having capitalized on building a very strong expertise with CAST,” said Vincent Delaroche, President and CEO of CAST. “Combining Capgemini’s “know-how” with our expertise in structural analysis, these offerings are grounded on the acknowledgement that you can’t manage what you don’t measure and provide a new dimension to IT systems management.”

“This new agreement will enable us to accelerate the introduction of new application risk assessments,” said J.P Bol, CEO at Capgemini France. “It reflects our ambition to continuously deliver innovative, well-founded, value-added solutions to our market.”
