Working at CAST R&D means being an important part of a highly talented, fast-paced, multicultural, and agile team based in Paris (France) and Bangalore (India). The team builds a sophisticated source code analysis platform leveraging parsing, control flow, data flow and other mechanisms to fully understand the inner structure of complex IT systems developed and used by Fortune 500 companies.

You, working as individual contributor, will be part of Integration Team, which is responsible for integrating all components and extensions of our core product: CAST AIP, the MRI for software, consisting of source code extractors, discoverers, analysers, dashboards, Imaging System (software visualization), and a management console. You will use and apply your expertise for increasing quality of these data-centric, web-based applications. Your tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to Specify, design, develop, manage, maintain, improve tests.

  • Constantly increase test efficiency and bandwidth.
  • Constantly increase test coverage (depth and breadth)
  • Automatic evaluation of test results.
  • Creating prototypes of new tests.
  • Functional validation of product results regarding correctness and completeness.
  • Industrialization of tests through high-efficient automation.
  • Defect reporting and follow-up using Jira and Confluence.
  • Tooling around the entire testing workflow, all the way from test case management, test data creation, automatic bug capturing, test progress measurement etc.
  • Identify quality assurance process bottlenecks and suggest actions for improvement.
  • Study tools for automated testing (API/UI/Integration Testing) and put into place processes for automated testing.
  • Suggest new tools and techniques to improve testing efficiency.

Candidate Profile
UG - B. Tech/B.E. - Any Specialization (Computer Science is preferable)
PG – MTech - Any Specialization (Computer Science is preferable)

Skills and experience:

  • Minimum of 3 but preferred 4 - 6 years of strong experience in software product quality assurance, performing functional testing, using test automation frameworks, and having tooling experience.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with software QA methodologies and processes.
  • Proven programming experience using languages among the following: Java/JSP and the JEE eco-system (Maven), .NET C#/ASP.NET and the .NET eco-system (NuGet), Cobol/CICS/IMS and the mainframe eco-system, Python, SQL, scripting languages. JEE or .NET are preferred.
  • Programming/development tools and environments: Git, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence.
  • Docker and cloud deployments
  • Testing tools: Selenium, Cucumber.
  • You combine QA, application development, debugging, and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Hands on experience in using and testing REST APIs including automatic tests.
